We weren't even sure that Kasey and Rory would be able to go until 3 days before we left. They both got scheduled and had to fight tooth-and-nail to get the time off. Kasey even transferred stores, so he's closer to home now and it'll be easier for him and Rory to get the same time off. We are still trying to get new, day jobs, but until then, we've just got to be grateful that we both have jobs.
Remember, as far as everyone knows, we are a nice, normal family...

Such a blessing
So we had Parkers blessing today, April 10th. Our WHOLE family was able to attend, which was really awesome. Unfortunately, Kasey missed a good hour of the luncheon since someone can't follow directions....The luncheon went really well, I was really anxious about having 11 kids running around my house, but all stayed in tact and no blood was shed. There's not a whole lot to post about a blessing, they're pretty
routine, so I'll just share photos:

Arts & Crafts time
My niece, Rylee had her 6th birthday party this weekend. I saw this cute idea on some random blog (except they just did blue and yellow for a boy scout theme) I figured I could do it with any, or in this case, EVERY, color. They turned out so much cuter than I could've planned! I meant for them to be kind of swirly, but they are layered and I love them! So I'm not really super creative with original ideas, but I stole them from other people and I thought I'd pass them along. I also have a super cute, square wreath in the works for my door, which I will share with you once it comes true.

Kasey & Randee
I really think ours is pretty cool, so here it is. Kasey and I met in our Criminal Justice class at Weber State, Spring semester 2003. I had recently moved to the back of the class because I couldn't stand this obnoxios kid that sat up front. After missing a class in March to attend my dear friend, Staci's wedding, I needed to get notes from somebody. There was this foxy blonde guy that always sat around me, so I figured I needed to get my notes from somebody, might as well ask the hot guy. So I did and we became friends. (I failed to mention that I had a boyfriend at this time and he failed to mention that he had a girlfriend). We would always walk to our cars together after class and whoever was parked closer would give the other one a ride to their car. On the day before the final exam, we were parked right across the street from each other. Kasey asked me if I was seeing anyone and I reluctantly told him that I was. After the final exam, we walked out of the building together. Kasey was waiting for his girlfriend to pick him up (which he told me was his mom), so I walked away and never expected to see him again...
That summer, after breaking up with the earlier mentioned boyfriend, I decided to casually e-mail Kasey, just to see if he was still around. I sent an e-mail to a weber account with his name, guessing really, and not expecting a reply. I didn't even log in to my weber e-mail again until September 2004. When I did, I found 3 responses from Kasey, spread out over the whole year since I had tried contacting him. I was stoked! He gave me his number, but when I called it, I miss-dialed and was so discouraged that I couldn't get through! So I gave him my number and when he called, we set up a wake-boarding date for a Saturday morning. Kasey was working 6 nights a week and going to school 5 days a week, so the only time he could go on dates was Saturday mornings. Super romantic, let me tell ya. So after one more Saturday morning date, I kinda gave up. Again...
On October 30th, I wa
s set to go to the Howl in Logan, with my best girl, Kylee. We got lazy and decided to stay in town and just go to the dance at Weber. So I shot Kasey a call and asked what he was doing that night. He was on his way to Weber State with his br
other Kyle, and his buddy, Brandon. I was looking hot in my camo mini skirt and he was hooked! We went back to his house to watch a movie and he asked me to a fireside the next night. After the fireside, we had our first kiss and I, too, was hooked! I
caught the bouquet at Maryann's Nov 20 wedding and we were engaged Jan 7th. We got married June 4th in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. I was so honored to be able to have my Grandma Slater at my Sealing. I am the only one of her 5 grandkids that she got to see get married. Sunday, February 13, 2011
The whole family
I was getting ready to go up to the hospital at 9:30 on Sunday morning (2/13), so I could take care of Parker at his 10:00am care time. The hospital called me at 8:45 and told me that he was ready to come home! Phoenix was all excited to go to church, so we had to break the news to her that we would be going to pick up her brother instead. She didn't mind. So we all drove up and s
prung the little guy. When we put him in the car, her little face lit up so cute. "Hi, Pahker!" She couldn't stop looking at him and she has been so good to not maul him or try to over-love him. She loves to hold him and help feed him. I just hope the jealuousy doesn't kick in...

Parker
On Tuesday, February 8th, our little Parker was finally born! Unfortunately, he was admitted to the NICU after just 7 hours with a low platelet count. He received a platelet transfusion and that was no long
er an issue. However, he was getting high biliruben scores, so he had to stay under lights for a few days. Now he is just finishing up his antibiotic and he has to take 57ml of milk and keep his intake
up so that he can get off of his IV. Once he's off for 48 hours, he can come home! It is really hard for me to have my kids in 2 places. I always feel like I am leaving one for the other and I'll tell ya, it sucks. I am grateful, though, that he is basically a healthy baby and will not be required to spend a long time in the hospital. Phoenix is getting antsy. She wants her "Pahker"
