The whole family

I was getting ready to go up to the hospital at 9:30 on Sunday morning (2/13), so I could take care of Parker at his 10:00am care time. The hospital called me at 8:45 and told me that he was ready to come home! Phoenix was all excited to go to church, so we had to break the news to her that we would be going to pick up her brother instead. She didn't mind. So we all drove up and sprung the little guy. When we put him in the car, her little face lit up so cute. "Hi, Pahker!" She couldn't stop looking at him and she has been so good to not maul him or try to over-love him. She loves to hold him and help feed him. I just hope the jealuousy doesn't kick in...

Parker

On Tuesday, February 8th, our little Parker was finally born! Unfortunately, he was admitted to the NICU after just 7 hours with a low platelet count. He received a platelet transfusion and that was no longer an issue. However, he was getting high biliruben scores, so he had to stay under lights for a few days. Now he is just finishing up his antibiotic and he has to take 57ml of milk and keep his intake
up so that he can get off of his IV. Once he's off for 48 hours, he can come home! It is really hard for me to have my kids in 2 places. I always feel like I am leaving one for the other and I'll tell ya, it sucks. I am grateful, though, that he is basically a healthy baby and will not be required to spend a long time in the hospital. Phoenix is getting antsy. She wants her "Pahker"
